RASHIDEEN PRACTICES at 109 RIDGE RD ARE A GO!

As Salaamu alaikum,

Team, we are all set to practice at the school gym. The ok was given today. Practices will be Weds from 4-4:45 and Sat from 1:30-4, both teams. Scheduled activities for November will be posted soon, inshaa Allah.

Old technology

Great job fifth graders with your 10/17 old technology homework assignment but I must’ve mentioned the word technology in every social studies grade so far this year. So this post is for everyone. Another word for old in this case is obsolete. It means outdated, no longer important. You know what I mean? Like, no longer relevant. We can’t call our parents obsolete because our parents are always relevant and important even if they are old. Another word for new in this case is modern. So power drills and smartphones are modern technologies, while stone tools and quills are obsolete.

So what other once upon a time modern technologies are now obsolete? Check out this video channel for more oldies but goodies now inducted into the “Museum of Obsolete Objects”. (Note: some short intro and outro science fiction music with each video) And leave a message in the comment box if you agree with all their choices or to say what else would you put into the museum of obsolete objects. 1) Bring parent permission slips

2) You MUST have transportation to pick you up

3) Bring proper attire and be ready to workout!

Men, we have the green light to begin a season of hard work with a lengthy practice from 1:30-4 tomorrow. In order to practice you must have a parent-signed permission slip and proper gym attire. Bring your own water or sports drink or sports bottle. Practice will be held at the new school gym at 109 Ridge Rd, Al-Rasheed Academy.
